48 hours in Osoyoos: a weekend itinerary
Two days, one warm lake, forty wineries, and a desert. Here's the weekend blueprint our front desk recommends most.
Day one: town & lake
Morning: free breakfast at the hotel, then walk to Gyro Beach for the calm, golden hours. Midday: Main Street lunch and a browse of the shops (Starbucks refuel: two minutes from our door). Afternoon: the Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre, then a tasting next door at Nk’Mip Cellars. Evening: drive up to Anarchist Lookout for sunset over the valley, then a late swim in the courtyard pool.
Day two: wine country
Morning: north to the Golden Mile Bench, tasting rooms open around 10–11. Midday: long vineyard-restaurant lunch (reserve ahead). Afternoon: Black Sage Road's big reds, then a fruit-stand haul on Highway 97 south. Evening: grill dinner on our BBQ deck with today's bottle, hot tub finale.
If you steal a third day
Spotted Lake, the Desert Centre boardwalk, golf, or simply the beach again, because you'll already be planning the return trip.
