Warm, mostly calm, and ringed by desert hills, Osoyoos Lake is one of BC's friendliest lakes to actually get out on, whether your speed is a dawn paddleboard glide or an afternoon behind a ski boat.

Paddle first, wind later

Mornings are glassy; afternoons often bring a breeze down the valley. Paddleboarders and kayakers should aim for before noon, then hand the lake over to the boats and tubes.

Rentals and launches

Seasonal operators in town rent paddleboards, kayaks, and boats, and public launches serve trailered boats. Our front desk keeps current recommendations, since operators and hours shift each season.

Know the border

The lake crosses into Washington State. Stay Canadian-side unless you've done your customs homework, the line is real even on the water.

After the lake

Hose off the sand, hang the towels, and debrief on our BBQ deck with dinner on the grill. If you're travelling with boards or a boat, our free oversized parking handles trailers with room to spare.
